²Ò - technologies

With regard to new organization structure of the Bank, and also to the facilities of new ABS "SR Bank" an optimum technological schemes for retail banking credit and deposit products have been developed, some internal bank documents have been amended, and objectives to ensure technological control over bulk transactions have been described.

During the second six months of 2005, branch banks and their departments were supplied with high-quality teller machines.

Information Systems Department

The Finance and Credit Bank is oriented on organizing its own information space and launching state-of-the-art information technologies that enable providing of fast and high-standard banking services.

The significant enlarging of customer base and extension of bank products range, and also necessity of new services development and introduction entail the transition of the Finance and Credit Bank and its branch banks in 2005 to efficient unified information automated banking system - SR Bank based on Oracle DBMS.

The Bank set a goal to use the mechanisms available in the new banking system and to minimize operational and financial risks in 2006 through introduction of chained technological operations on processing and operational maintenance of the banking products.

 

The SR Bank system was implemented in all branches of the Finance and Credit Bank in 2005. The Bank developed and approved the program of creating a unified information warehouse in 2006 and building an effective system of analysis and management reporting on its base.

The system of notification about cash flow on card accounts through sending SMS in GSM telecommunication network demonstrates high-standard performance and evokes interest and demand among the customers. Therefore, the Bank has been putting consistent efforts in further improvement of this service by introducing state-of-the-art technologies. Apart from that, one more service has been launched to provide the customers with access to information on cash flow and balance on the accounts via Internet Banking.

The Bank has been continuously upgrading computer and server hardware. A state-of-the-art software and hardware complex has been commissioned as banking day servers. The works on creation of "hot" copies of the Bank's most important data to be located in differing geographical places are in progress.

The Bank puts more emphasis on emergency power source systems and information system fault tolerance to ensure the required reliability of the Bank's computer network operation.

In order to achieve higher quality and reliability of the corporate network operation, the Bank transited to optical communication channels operating among remote branches.

The Bank has commenced implementation of the program of building and operating alternative and reserve communication channels in the Bank's corporate network.

In 2005, the Bank put into practice a complex antiviral program to protect the entire corporate network of the Bank intended to ensure maximum security of the Bank employees' automated workstations against viral attacks.
