press-release | Whereas we try to embrace our children with all care and attention, plan fabulous future for them, and are always ready to back them up any minute, there are kids who have no parents and nobody to rely on but for themselves and pure chance. Not long ago the employees of Finance and Credit Bank visited the specialised baby orphanage in the town of Novograd-Volynskiy in Zhytomir region within a charity programme. The baby orphanage is known to have been created in 1945 in the former house of a local landlord. At that time the orphanage gave shelter to children whose parents gave their lives in the war. Nowadays this establishment is intended for medical and social protection of children in the age from birth to 5 years old who are deprived of parents' care, who are physically or mentally disabled, with affections of the central nervous system, mental disturbances, incurable skin diseases, toxoplasmosis, Hepatitis И and AIDS. At the moment there are 53 kids in the baby orphnage. It is noteworthy that the age of children is under 1 year old and over 4 years old, as the age of 2-3 years old is best for adoption. It is good to know that 22 kids were adopted in 2010 in this baby orphanage. | |
Employees of Finance and Credit Bank collected clothes and toys for children and nearly 9,000 UAH. This money was used to purchase the necessities: drugs, infant food, nappies, nappy changing table and other necessary personal care products and sweets. | It wasn't the only surprise for kids as this time the Bank's volunteers were accompanied by Kiev Charitable Theater "The Sun City" that presented the "New adventures of three little piglets" performance. The children followed the performance with keen interest and even took an active part in it: they smiled, clapped their hands, sang and answered questions of the fairy-tale characters. To recap, in December 2010 Finance and Credit Bank also visited the juvenile orphanage in the town of Nezhyn that gives a home to children from the whole of Chernigov region – these are disadvantaged children, orphan children, kids whose parents are deprived of parental rights. Finance and Credit Bank is an active participant in various charity programmes among which is the onging project "Present a book to a school library". Approximately 2,000 books of cognitive and belles-lettres literature were passed on to Kazatin boarding school named after Podgorbunskiy (Vinnitsa region), and nearly 2.5 thousand books were presented to Belaya Tserkva boarding school of І-ІІ grade for deaf and mute people from Kiev region. Besides books this boarding school received toys and warm clothes.
